KEEPING YOU INFORMEDThis report is a summary of some indicators of the performance of our school. No single report can tell the whole story of our school's educational program or the people who work and learn here. We encourage you to find out firsthand by visiting our school. If you are a parent of one of our students, we invite you to take an active role in your child's learning because studies show that when parents are involved, students do better in school.

We are committed to ensuring that our students are taught by a highly trained and qualified staff of instructors.

HOW WE ARE IMPROVINGWe are continuing to offer small classes for basic language arts and mathematics at each grade level and are continuing to provide the intense two-year algebra class. We have added accelerated classes for 8th grade language arts and 6th grade mathematics. We have added a paraprofessional to provide individualized support for general education students with 504 needs. Our Kellogg Empowered Youth (KEY) program is expanded to offer before and after school tutoring and recreational activities for students for four days a week with transportations and snack also provided. Additionally, our summer school program now offers more spaces for students and a paraprofessional to assist the highly qualified teacher. Child study groups are constantly teaming with parents to support children in academic and behavioral success. We have added advanced classes for 7th grade Language Arts students. The school staff has written and received a grant called "The Kind Campaign". The staff and students will receive training on respect and bullying issues. We have started a new program for students to be referred to the office for doing "random acts of kindness" and being a positive influence on others around them. We started a "Student of the Week" program at KMS and at the end of the month each of the students of the week have pizza with the principal. WHAT WE CELEBRATE
