KEEPING YOU INFORMED
This report is a summary of some indicators of the performance of our
school. No single report can tell the whole story of our school’s educational
program or the people who work and learn here. We encourage you to find out
firsthand by visiting our school. If you are a parent of one of our students,
we invite you to take an active role in your child’s learning because studies
show that when parents are involved, students do better in school.
HOW WE ARE IMPROVING
We received a grant in 2006-07 called the Kindness Campaign, where Suze
Rutherford a nationally known educator will be coming to our school to train the
staff and students in respect and bullying issues. We have started a good
referral system at school that catches students being good, or doing what is
right. We have a student of the week program, where a student is picked from
each grade as student of the week. The winners for each month will have pizza
with the principal. We have added a computer program called, Parent Connect.
This program allows parents to access their child’s school records for each
class. We have started Town Hall Meetings with the grade levels during advisory
period every other week. We started a new demerit system within our discipline
plan in 2007-08.

OUR SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT
Our goal is to provide a place for students to learn without distractions
and concerns for safety. We closely monitor activities on our campus and offer
comprehensive programs to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and substance abuse. As
required by state and federal laws and rules, we collect, monitor, and report on
crimes and substance abuse incidents on our campus and at school activities. A
complete report of this information about our school and district is available
at:
http://www.sde.state.id.us/ipd/reportcard/SchoolReportCard.asp or by
contacting Bonnie Farmin in our school district.
OUR STUDENTS’ ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT
ABOUT OUR STUDENTS’ TEST RESULTS
Included with this are “Adequate Yearly Progress Assessment Reports.”
These reports provide detailed information about the academic performance of our
students and specific groups of students on state reading, math, and language
usage tests.
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL’S PROGRESS
The results from these tests also are used to measure the progress of our
school toward state and federal goals. The report called “Adequate Yearly
Progress Indicators” details which goals our school met and those we may
have missed.
