One of the most
important factors for a successful hunt is the weather. A lot of
times the animals aren't out the day after a full moon because
they were able to see during the night and stayed up eating.
This isn't always true but does happen.
Another thing that might
help you is know when there is going to be a storm because
the animals will be out right before the storm to feed. So if
you can go on a hunt the day before a storm and the animals will
be moving around most of the day.
Don't get stuck in a storm, Know the weather.

Don't forget to take a look at
some of my pictures of animals that you might come across in
Idaho. Knowing what animals you
are shooting at could save you a ticket that can cost thousands
of dollars. |
1. If you are road hunting and you see an animal, don't turn off
your vehicle because the animals get used to the sound and it
could scare them if it suddenly stops. 2. If you are close
range hunting get some kind of cough silencer. Sometimes there
might be an animal close by and you won't see them but they will
hear you.
3. If you are planning on using some kind of 4-wheeler or
motorcycle try to get a muffler silencer.
4. When you are hiking somewhere far in the mountains or
somewhere that you don't know the area, always have at least two
fire starters and a way to communicate like a cell phone.
5. If you hunt when it is cold it is better to wear layers so
when you get warm you can take off the layers one at a time. |
