Welcome to Daniel's Website!

My favorite sport that I like to play and watch is baseball. My favorite MLB (Major League Baseball) team is the Texas Rangers. There are nine  (9) positions when you are playing defense. There are two(2) categories they fit into: infield and outfield. Infielders include pitcher, catcher, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd basemen, and the shortstop. The shortstop is between 2nd base and 3rd base because there is a wider gap between them so someone has to cover that position. The outfield consists of three(3) players: right fielder, left fielder, and centerfielder. The outfielders are there in case the offense hits a ball past the infielders.

Football is one of my favorite sports. My favorite team is the San Francisco 49ers. Their record right now is 4-10. Their record consists of wins-losses. So they have won 4 games and lost 10. They may not have a winning record but they are a good team. This Sunday, December 9, 2007, the 49ers play the Minnesota Vikings at home. That means that the Vikings are traveling to San Francisco to play the game. I also like many college football teams, but I would have to say my favorite team Montana Grizzlies. They lost to the Wofford Terriers in the Big Sky Conference Playoff Game.

Basketball is my least favorite sport to watch. I like college basketball just a little bit, but still, I don't really like to watch basketball. If I liked basketball just a little bit more I would say that my favorite NBA team would be the Phoenix Suns . I like them because they have: Shaun Marion, Steve Nash, and Amare Stoudmire. My most favorite college team would have to be the North Carolina Tarheels. I have many favorite NBA players, but here is a list of my favorite players: Tim Duncan, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Kevin Garnett, Jason Kidd, Steve Nash, Yao Ming, Dwayne Wade, Tracey McGrady, Allen Iverson, Paul Pierce, Kareem Abdul Jabar, Sam Cassel, Ben Wallace, Magic Johnson, Scotty Pippin, Kareem Campbell, Shaq O'Neill, Carmelo Anthony, Dirk Navinsky, Vince Carter, Earl Knight, and Ray Allen.

Finally, the last sport that I do is snowboarding. I love snowboarding with a passion. I would have to say it is my favorite winter sport. The best thing I would say that I like about snowboarding, is probably just being able to get away from all the city stuff and just snowboard down a mountain. Especially if there is no one around you so you don't have to worry about crashing into you. Another thing that I like about snowboarding is that you get to feel the wind rush against your face as you glide down the powdered snow. The mountain that I snowboard on is called Silver Mountain. It has the longest gondola ride in the world! Finally, the last thing that I like about snowboarding is that when you are done you can buy a nice warm cup of hot cocoa and then sip it as you start your 15 minute descent to the base of the gondola. Around Christmas time,  Silver Mt. has night skiing. It is where you go up the mountain during the day, and during a certain time, they turn on lights so you can ski until 9:30, and that is when the ski lifts close, and you have to go down the mountain.
