Our season ended a couple of weeks ago and with a great game as a season closer.
this week we were down 3 players one had been shot in the eye 2 weeks earlier
and the other injury was a lineman Shawn who a couple weeks earlier had
broke his tibia in a team scrimage.We also had a team member quit as he had an argument with the coach about playing time.
As the game was just about under way we got the kick off our return man
Justin was ready for the return.
he got the ball and ran about 15 yards from the 20.
are first play was a dive to the middle I got the ball and piledrived everyone that hooked arms on
me. We got about six yards. After that play everything just kind of fell apart with our team. we tried a sweep and were unsuccesful
infact they even stripped the ball.Our defense pushed them all them all the way back to their endzone and sacked them in the endzone
for a safety. We got the ball back but about three plays in we fumbled it again.
they had the ball at about our 40 and were pushing forward.
In our earlier games
we had always lost because our heads would fall after they got the first Touchdown. As they came to the goal line they ran a sweep and got the TD
They kicked off again and on our first drive they stripped the ball again. And once more they scored. The score was
now12-0 them. After a long lecture by coach beggerly we went out with our heads high hopeing hopeing for the better of the
2nd half. We came out and reiceved the kick off once more. We started our drive at the 40 and pushed forward from there
we got to the goal line and I powered in our first TD of the day. the whole team was excited. we kicked off the ball and
forced their offense 3 and out.after they kicked we started our drive to get another TD. The score was now 12-10.
I ran the ball up the middle 5 times in a row and then decited to try a sweep it didn't work and we lost three yards
I marched up the middle with about 6 yards per carry and we were right next to the endzone.
It was the 4th Quarter now and we had about 4 minutes to play.
We ran the ball up the middle again for the TD but were called back from a holding penalty.
We ran the same play and scored again. they stopped us on the 2 point conversion so it was now
12-16. we held them for the rest of the game and closed our season with a 1-5 record wich to the bigger spokane teams
was a great win.
