Our MissionSuccess is earned. Keeping You InformedThis report is a summary of some indicators of the performance of our school. No single report can tell the whole story of our school’s educational program or the people who work and learn here. We encourage you to find out firsthand by visiting our school. If you are a parent of one our students, we invite you to take an active role in your child’s learning because studies show that when parents are involved, students do better in school. How We Are ImprovingAs another measure to ensure the success of our students, we committed to the "Failure Is Not An Option" program for the '06-'07 school year. Our goal was to reduce the number of failing grades by aggressively intervening when a student received an "F" or "zero". Two days a week we had an extra class period built into the schedule. Students that had failing grades or missing work used this period to catch up or get extra instruction on the failing work. We wanted to change the climate of our school to one where we expect that EVERY student on EVERY assignment will excel if given enough time to do so. Options for ParentsParentCONNECT is available for parents to use this year. The goal is to assist the parent in helping their child's success by making information about their progress and educational program available to them on-line. ParentCONNECT software is a convenient home-to-school collaboration tool that allows parents/guardians to keep track of their children's academic progress on-line via an easy to use website. Parents/guardians may visit the password-protected site to view their student's schedules, grades, assignments, as well as daily and period attendance records. The parent/guardian can also easily communicate with teachers via e-mail or receive automatic e-mail notification of unexcused absences, missing assignments, or failing grades. What We Celebrate

Our School CommunityMany factors, such as how often a child attends school, moving frequently and English language experience influence school achievement. Measuring these characteristics helps us understand our students' needs.
We are committed to ensuring that highly trained and qualified teachers instruct our students. Parents are welcome to request information about the qualifications of their child's teachers at any time. In addition, if the need arises for your child to be taught by a teacher without complete qualifications for more than four weeks, we will notify you.
Our School EnvironmentOur goal is to provide a place for students to learn without distractions and concerns for safety. We closely monitor activities on our campus and offer comprehensive programs to prevent alcohol, tobacco, and substance abuse. As required by state and federal laws and rules, we collect, monitor, and report on crimes and substance abuse incidents on our campus and at school activities. A complete report of this information about our school and district is available at: http://www.sde.state.id.us/ipd/reportcard/SchoolReportCard.asp or by contacting Bonnie Farmin in our school district. Our Students' Academic AchievementAbout Our Graduation RateOur state goal is for at least 90 percent of students to graduate from high school. The most current graduation rate information is for the Class of 2006 and shows:
About Our Students' Test ResultsIncluded with this are "Adequate Yearly Progress Assessment Reports." These reports provide detailed information about the academic performance of our students and specific groups of students on state reading, math and language usage tests. College-bound students also take entrance exams. Our students' performance on these rigorous tests is shown below. About Our School's ProgressThe results from these tests also are used to measure the progress of our school toward state and federal goals. The report called "Adequate Yearly Progress Indicators" details which goals our school met and those we may have missed. ACTMost of Idaho's college-bound students take this exam
