Below is a list of the years that are represented in the CD collection assembled of the Glenn Exum reel-to-reel tapes. All years include recordings by both band and choir unless otherwise noted. Some years only have selected soloists & ensembles from both departments recorded.

1946 (Band only - this may actually be from the 1946-47 school year)
1947
1948
1949
1951
1954
1955
1956
1957
1958 (Band only)
1960
1963
1966 (One recording of a girl's choir rehearsal)
1967 (No music, just an 8mm filmstrip of homecoming and the marching band)
1969
1970
1971
Old Shep Quintet (rehearsal recording of a vocal group that included Doy McKinley and Glenn Exum)

Please note that one of the volumes includes some music probably from the early 1970s that is undated and unidentified. Sadly, there are a few years missing from the collection. The daughter of Doy McKinley sent a copy of a letter that Exum wrote in 1989. The letter proved that he took some reels home with him (not the reels found at KHS that were transferred) after he retired. Although the letter stated that he was copying the tapes to cassette, nobody seems to know what happened to the reels or the copies. A few copies went out to some friends and some of them have come forward and added them to the collection (that's how recordings for 1958 and a few for 1947 and 1949 are available). Mrs. Exum is positive they are no longer in possession of further recordings, however Eddie and Glenda Exum have not been contacted. Hopefully, the missing reels can be tracked down someday or even copies of those original reels. For now this is the collection available. In all it is 17 volumes (18 if you count the quintet recordings which are on a separate CD). The charge of $10 per CD has been to cover the cost of shipping, materials and time. Any leftover money will be handed over to the KHS music department.

For the most part, the sounds quality is good. Everybody so far has been satisfied with the sound despite the archaic materials that were available to work with. However, the quality varies from concert to concert. The recordings are mostly from the Spring Concerts of the years listed. There are also selections from live spring musical performances, Christmas Concerts and some rehearsal recordings. Several programs from Spring Concerts are available. They date back to 1946, but copies of the following years are still being sought:
1947, 1949, 1959, 1964, 1965, 1967, 1968, 1970 and 1971.
