8 Kindergarten Round-up
Sunnyside School will hold its Kindergarten Registration
Round Up for the 2008-2009 classes on Thursday, May 8th between 8 a.m. and 3
p.m. Potential kindergarten students for the next school year will have the
opportunity to visit the classrooms as their parents complete the registration
process.
A child must be five years of age prior to September 1, 2008 in order to attend
for the 2008-2009 school year. Parents of eligible students need to bring the
child’s birth certificate and proof of immunization to registration so that a
copy can be made to place in the child’s school record file.
There will be no school for the current Kindergarten classes on that date.
10 District Science Fair
The District Science Fair
will be held on Saturday, May 10th at Canyon School. Viewing of projects will be
between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. that day.
14 Early Release—Teacher Collaboration
School will be released early at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May
14th, so that school staff can participate in collaboration and professional
development activities. School will resume at 8 a.m. on Thursday, May 15th
15 PTO Meeting
Sunnyside PTO will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 15th
in the Library/Media Center. All parents interested in working on projects and
programs to support the school program are invited to attend. Participation is
needed for several upcoming activities, so please plan to attend.
20 PTO Fun Run
The Sunnyside PTO is sponsoring the annual fun run
on the afternoon of May 20th. The students will be walking or running to promote
good health and to raise money for PTO projects at the same time.
26 No School—Memorial Day
There will be no school on Monday, May 26th in
observance of Memorial Day. School will resume at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, May 27th.
28 KMS Band Concert
The Kellogg Middle School Band will perform for the
students at 9:15 a.m. on Wednesday, May 28th.
